History

Melbourne Ultrasound for women was founded in 1995 by Lachlan de Crespigny to provide a comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound service for women of all ages. He was soon joined by Victor Hurley and more recently, Nicole Woodrow and Michael Bethune as the other principles. They all are certified ultrasound sub specialists of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and have published their work in diagnostic ultrasound in both Australian and international journals.

Lachlan is a Past-President of the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and author of the books “Which tests for my unborn baby? A guide to Prenatal diagnosis”, and Prenatal Testing: Choices in pregnancy.

His new book: "Prental testing: The Facts' (OUP) is published in 2005.
